Dangote, Black Rhino affirm interest in Nigerian power ventures

Dark Rhino Group a portfolio organization of Blackstone Energy and Dangote Industries have affirmed that they are putting an aggregate sum of US$10bn in power ventures in Nigeria with an uncommon accentuation on renewable vitality, transmission and pipeline ventures, Construction Review Online reports.

The Emir of Kano and Chairman of Black Rhino Group, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, affirmed that his group will contribute US$5bn while Dangote Industries is to contribute the remaining US$5bn towards the development of a coal power plant and a solar powered energy venture in Kano, whereby the coal venture and the sunlight based force task will create around 1,000MW and 100MW individually.

The two accomplices will also execute a gas pipeline venture from Akwa Ibom to South west Nigeria, a locale where Dangote Industries are engaged. The gas venture from the South East to Western Nigeria will extend the distance to Ghana tending to the energy needs of commercial enterprises inside of the area, especially those under the Dangote group.
