Plateau group to embark on $150m solar power project


Panyam group in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State is to profit by a $150 million sunlight based plant control extend anticipated that would take off before the end of this current year, Daily Trust reports.

CT Cosmos Nigeria Limited, a backup of Communication Towers Ltd, which showed enthusiasm to set up the sun based plant extend in Panyam expressed that the venture when finished, is relied upon to produce more than 70 megawatts which will be adequate to support Plateau and neighboring states.

Head Operating Officer of CT Cosmos, Henry Opara, who headed a delegation of the organization to meet with the group at the Monarch’s palace, said the organization has been issued a permit by the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and has been shortlisted for a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Bulk Energy Purchase Company of Nigeria.
