Power Supply will Improve Despite Challenges

Lawal Y. Lawal, the Chief Compliance and Regulatory Officer, Kaduna Electric, has listed some of the challenges the company is currently facing which hinders its operations.
He disclosed this in Kaduna at the company’s customer forum.
Lawal said some of the challenges facing the firm include delay in payment of tariff, assault on its staff, huge MDA debts, collusion with staff and quacks and by-passing of meters by customers.
According to him, Kaduna electric has an operation base which covers Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi, with over 16 million customers and no less than 2,223 households but has only 380,000 customers at the moment with eight area offices and 143 service centers.
Garba Haruna, Managing Director of Kaduna Electric, who was represented by Head, Strategy, Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman, in a goodwill message thanked participants at the interactive session for coming and expressed hope that the firm will deliver better service to its customer.
