PHED Cuts Power Supply In Port Harcourt For 3 Days

Electricity supply will be cut in Port Harcourt and its environs for 7 hours each day from the 13th to the 15th of December 2016, This is according to the spokesman of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED), John Onyi.

Mr Onyi, who made this known while speaking with journalists said the power cut is due to the necessity of repairs and upgrade of the company’s facilities.

He stated that the outage would be from 10am to 5pm each day during the given period.

His statement partly reads, “PHED wishes to notify our customers that Port Harcourt and its metropolis will witness power outage starting from today, 13 December to 15 December, 2016”

The planned outage is to allow the technical crew from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) carry out routine maintenance at Afam Power Station”

He assured the customers that electricity supply would improve upon the completion of the exercise.

On behalf of PHED, he appealed for patience and understanding from the customers during the period.
