Fire Outbreak At Jebba, Reason For System Collapse – Eko Electric

Eko Electricity Distribution Company released a statement via their facebook page on the 18th of January, announcing that there was a system collapse from the national grid affecting their entire network. According to the statement, the system collapse occurred at about 7:38am and it was confirmed by NCC Osogbo.

At about 9:30am the following day, an update on the system collapse was made via the same platform. This update stated that according to NCC Osogbo, the system collapse was as a result of a fire outbreak that happened at the Jebba power station.

Eko Electric Distribution Company’s coverage areas include; Lagos State (Victoria Island, Lekki, Lagos Island, Apapa, Epe, Ikoyi)
