Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has announced that a certain 60-year old man named  Muhammad Rabi’u and 12 others have been arrested in Kano for allegedly vandalizing and stealing electricity facilities belonging to KEDCO

This was revealed in a statement released by the utility company. It also further explained that over N150 million had been lost to vandals between September and November last year.

Parading the suspects at the premises of the company, the Managing Director, Alhaji Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna said persistent activities of vandals forced the company to set up an anti-vandals task force to curtail the menace.

Also commenting on the arrest, the Head of the task force, DSP Muhammad Dauda said five suspects were apprehended at Sabon-Gari area, four in Ungoggo town, Ungoggo local government and three others were arrested at Dakata quarters.
