IBEDC Distributes 21 New Tranformers


Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced the distribution of 21 transformers across its franchise area spanning Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Kwara as well as parts of Ekiti, Niger and Kogi states, The Punch reports. The transformers which were distributed last month will be energizing over 7,000 customers in 70 communities. The Chief Commercial Officer, IBEDC, Mr. Deolu Ijose, was said to have disclosed this at the inauguration of the 300kVA transformer at Mashallah community in Kwara State.

This investment which is in fulfillment of the company’s promise to provide better service and bring succor to its customers throughout its franchise area. He said the prompt payment of bills, as well as clearing of outstanding debts by the communities, was the major factor influencing the decision of the company to invest in critical infrastructure such as transformers, cables and poles for them.
