YEDC Set To Meter 130,000 Customers


Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) has announced it plans to would distribute meters to 130,000 customers across its franchise areas (Adamawa, Taraba, Yobe and Borno) before the end of 2017.

This was disclosed by  Alhaji Bala Muhammed – YEDC Secretary, at a Customers Enlightenment Forum in Jalingo on Thursday. He debunked any rumor of customers paying for the meters while stating that they will be distributed free of charge. He also decried the inept attitude of customers to bill payments and stated that to better improve YEDC services, a customer enumeration program will be undertaken in order to properly estimate the population of its customers across the 4 states.
