PHED Apologizes For Ongoing Power Outage In Port Harcourt City

Customers of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) in some parts of the city are currently experiencing power outage as a result of massive load shedding.

The distribution company in a statement apologising for the power outage revealed that the intermittent power interruptions are as a result of a technical fault on the 33/11kv power transformer at Rumuola Injection Substation.

Areas Affected:

The areas affected are Rumuola Road, GRA Phases 2 & 3, Timothy lane, Rumuigbo, Kesiolu, Rumuokwuta and some parts of NTA Road.

Others are Waterlines, Olu-Obasanjo, Woji Road, Omerelu, Rumukalagbor, some parts of Elekahia among others.

According to PHED, efforts are already in place by the company’s technical crew to ensure that the faulty power transformer is fixed and power is restored as soon as possible.

PHED also pleaded with affected customers to have some patience while the fault is being fixed.
