Emir Of Gwandu Commends Kaduna Electric

The Emir of Gwandu and Chairman Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhamad Iliyasu Bashar has admonished the Management of Kaduna Electric on service delivery and the need to be patient, courteous and diplomatic when dealing with their customers.

The first class Emir made the admonition last week when Management of Kebbi Area Office of Kaduna Electric led by the Ag. Business Development and Relationship Officer, Mr. Stephen Ajayi paid him a courtesy visit at Abdullahi ibn Fodio Palace, Birnin Kebbi.

A statement by the Head, Corporate Communications of the Company, Abdulazeez Abdullahi disclosed that the Emir commended the Company for ensuring quality power supply in Kebbi State and expressed the Emirate Council’s appreciation for the visit.

He also charged the Electricity Distribution Company to always engage community leaders who he described as “an effective instrument for social mobilization and community sensitization”.

Earlier, the Ag. BDRO, Stephen Ajayi said they were at the palace to pay the traditional sallah homage to the Emir and to solicit the co-operation of the Gwandu Emirate Council in areas of payment of electricity bills and protection of power supply infrastructure.

“The Management of Kaduna Electric, Kebbi Area Office wish to place on record our deep appreciation to His Royal in particular and the Emirate Council in general for the long-standing co-operations and understanding we enjoy”, he stated.

He appealed to the Emir to use his invaluable position as a father to mobilise his subjects towards prompt settlement of bills and protection of the company’s asset.
