PHED Outage Alert: Rumuodomaya Substation In Darkness Due To Flood

The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) in a statement released on Monday, 31st of July confirmed that some parts of Port Harcourt City have been experiencing power outage for over ten days.

According to this statement, the power outage was due to natural cause. The power outage occurred after a heavy downpour that submerged the Rumuoduomaya 33kv Injection Substation.

Affected Areas:

The areas affected are Rumuigbo, Iboloji, Federal Government CollegeRumuokoroObi Wali Road, Haruk Road and some parts of Ikwerre Road.

Despite all efforts to evacuate the water by the distribution company, however, the flood is yet to recede.

The spokes person of PHED, Mr John Onyi used the medium to ask for the understanding of their customers and some more patience while the faults are being fixed.
