Nasarawa State Donates 50 Hectares Of Land For 330MW Power Station

The Government of Nasarawa State has donated 50 hectares of land to the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) to begin the construction of 330-megawatts power station in Lafia.
Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, stated this during an inspection of the facility in Akurba area of Lafia metropolis, said the stepping down of the 330MW power-line traversing Makurdi and Jos in Benue and Plateau states would provide electricity to Nasarawa and  neighbouring states and Abuja.
The governor said his administration had made much effort to make the project a reality, adding that the land earmarked for the project had already been fenced and compensation paid to its previous owners.
