BPE Urge Kano Electricity Firm On Energy Conservation Campaigns


The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) has urged Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) on the need to intensify its energy conservation campaigns among electricity users.
Balogun Omotunde Olayinka, the Deputy Director, Post-Privatisation Monitoring Department who led the BPE team to the company recently.
According to him, “You will need to continue sensitising members of the public about the electricity value chain in your weekly community engagement exercise; let them know you only distribute electricity and not generating or transmitting.”
BPE’s Acting Director-General, Dr Vincent Onome Akpotaire who was represented by Olayinka commended KEDCO for the steps it had taken to reduce the Aggregate Technical, Commercial and Collections Loss (ATC&C).
